[Ignis considers himself largely a decent man. Not the best of men, but not the worst, and someone who at least attempts to take the higher road most of the time. But he often thinks if he were actually better, he would have an easier time being selfless and not wanting as much as he did. He treasures those moments too much - Noct against his shoulder, brushing his hand against Ignis' wrist. Ignis is the least likely to sling an arm around someone or touch or hug of any of there little crowd, which doesn't mean he never does, just that he's less likely. But he catches himself crowding into Noct's space sometimes, hoping for it, or reaching out himself to brush back dark hair or straighten clothes, just for a chance to touch. He thinks it's probably small of him, but Ignis isn't going to give it up until he has to or until Noctis wants him too, anyway.

And Noctis giving in on carrot cake just makes Ignis laugh, soft and far, far too indulgently adoring, when he's hungover and not hiding anything well. He tucks a lock of hair behind Noct's ear and smooths a fingertip along the shell of it briefly without thinking.] I will make both. But it's cake, so it's not going to add any nutrients to your day.
